31 Miss. Code. R. 2-12.11 - Notification to Sheriffs/Other State Sex Offender Registries
When a new offender registers with Mississippi and is entered on the state's Registry, the MSOR sends a written notification to the sheriff of the county in which the offender resides. If the offender has relocated from another state, the MSOR also sends a notification to that state. A copy is also placed in the offender's file.
