31 Miss. Code. R. 2-12.25 - Lifetime Registration Requirements
1. If an offender
has been convicted of one (1) of the following offenses, the offender is
subject to lifetime registration and shall not be relieved of the duty to
register:
a. Rape (Miss. Code
Ann.
§
97-3-65)
b. Rape and assault with intent to ravish
(Miss. Code Ann.
§
97-3-71)
c. Sexual battery (Miss. Code
Ann.
§
97-3-95)
d. Exploitation of children (Miss.
Code Ann.
§
97-3-33(1)
(2))
e. Carnal knowledge of a stepchild, adopted
child, or child of a cohabiting partner (Miss. Code Ann.
§
97-5-41)
f. Any conviction for violation of a similar
law of another jurisdiction
2. Additionally, the following offenders are
subject to lifetime registration and shall not be eligible to petition for
relief of the duty to register:
a. an offender
who has two (2) separate convictions for any of the offenses described in
Miss. Code Ann.
§
45-33-23,
as long as one (1) of the convictions was entered on or after July 1,
1995;
b. an offender who resides in
Mississippi and who has been designated a sexual predator, a sexually violent
predator or a similar designation in another state;
c. an offender twice adjudicated delinquent
in a youth court for the crime of rape pursuant to Miss. Code
Ann.
§ 96-3-65 or sexual battery pursuant to Miss. Code
Ann.
§
97-3-95.
