31 Miss. Code. R. 2-12.7 - Responsible Agency/Offender Registration Duties
1. The
responsible agency is required to explain the offender's registration duties
and to complete the required registration forms with the offender. Both the
offender and the contact person registering the offender are required to sign
and date the forms. The responsible agency instructs the offender to report to
any driver's license station in the state to complete registration (with a copy
of his Registration Form) within 10 days. The responsible
agency is required to submit all registration forms to the MSOR within ten (10)
days.
2. At the driver's license
station, the offender is required to submit his copy of the Registration Form,
pay a $5.00 fee, be photographed, and be issued a sex offender registration
card. The sex offender card has the offender's first re-registration date on
it.
