31 Miss. Code. R. 401-10.2 - Basic Training
All individuals who are elected or appointed as County Medical Examiners/Investigators or Deputy Medical Examiners/Investigators, before taking the oath of Office, must attend the Basic Death Investigation Training School provided by the State Medical Examiner and the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory. The school will be offered approximately once every two years and will ordinarily be a 40-hour five-day school conducted at a facility designated by the State Medical Examiner's Office and Mississippi Forensics Laboratory.
