33 Miss. Code. R. 210-1.3 - Procedure
(a)
Records
Available: All identifiable public records of the District not
exempt pursuant to §
25-61-9
and §
25-61-11
of the Public Records Act or other applicable law or judicial decision are
available for inspection or copying, or both, pursuant to the procedures
herein.
(b)
Request in
Writing: All requests shall be in writing, shall request the
production or copying of identifiable public records, shall be signed by the
person or persons requesting the records, and shall list the requester's
address and telephone number.
(c)
District Response: Within three working days after the
date of the receipt of the request, the District shall notify the requesting
party whether the record(s) requested can be located and whether the record(s)
can be legally disclosed. If the record is to be disclosed, the District shall
give an estimate of the total fee for compliance with the request. Upon payment
of the fee estimate, the District shall produce the record(s) requested for
inspection or copying no later than seven (7) working days from the date of the
request, but in no event shall production of the record(s) be later than
fourteen (14) working days from the date of request for the production of the
records.
(d)
Denials: Any denial of a request shall be in writing
signed by the General Manager of the District, and shall contain a statement of
the specific exemption relied upon for the denial.
