40 Miss. Code. R. 2-1.5 - [Effective until 6/30/2025] OFF-ROAD VEHICLES ON US FOREST SERVICE WMAS

A. The current Memorandum of Understanding dated April 10, 2002, between the U.S. Forest Service and the MDWFP establishes the Forest Service as having authority to regulate access on wildlife management areas within National Forest Lands.
B. Off-road vehicle (ORV) use will be governed by the U.S. Forest Service under 36 CFR §261, Subparts A and B, and 36 CFR §295 . Anyone operating ORVs/ATVs should be familiar with the Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) published annually by the U.S. Forest Service. The MVUM explains when and where ORVs/ATVs may be used. Motor Vehicle Use Maps are available at the local U. S. Forest Service office and online at www.fs.usda.gov/main/mississippi/maps-pubs.
C. ORVs/ATVs are allowed on designated roads or trails, and for the retrieval of harvested deer or hogs. No loaded weapon may be in possession while operating an ORV/ATV.
