40 Miss. Code. R. 2-1.6 - [Effective until 6/30/2025] WMA USER PERMITS
A. In addition to
any required license, all users must carry on their person an Annual,
Individual, or Family Wildlife Management Area User Permit, while using any
Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Wildlife Management
Area that is operated on property not owned by the U.S. Forest Service. Users
exempt from purchasing a hunting or fishing license (Miss. Code Ann.
§§
49-7-5 and
49-7-9) are exempt from purchasing
the WMA User Permits.
B. For
Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Wildlife Management
Areas operated on property owned by the U.S. Forest Service, all users
participating in hunting, fishing, or trapping activities, must carry on their
person an annual Wildlife Management Area User Permit in addition to any
required license. Exemptions stated above will also apply.
C. Exemptions for educational purposes may be
granted at the discretion of the Executive Director.
