PURPOSE: This rule identifies definitions
used in the Peace Officer Standards and Training
Program.
(1) For
the purposes of 11 CSR 75:
(A) The
definitions set forth in section
590.010, RSMo shall apply;
and
(B) The term "high school
diploma or its equivalent" shall mean any of the following:
1. A high school diploma from an
attendance-based, accredited high school and not an on-line or computer-based
high school program;
2. A General
Education Development (GED) certificate;
3. A diploma from a high school program of
education under Chapter 167, RSMo; or
4. Passage of the United States Military
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Exam. In addition to passing the
exam, the applicant must obtain a score on the exam that would qualify them for
a position as a military peace officer.
