178 Neb. Admin. Code, ch. 12, § 009 - TEST HOLES
Test holes, constructed in conjunction with ground water investigations must not be retained for more than 10 days, must be covered when not in use, and must be properly decommissioned within 10 days of drilling.

Location: A test hole must be located so that it is protected from surface waters and seepage from sources of contamination and pollution.
12-009.02
Surface Casing: When onsite conditions dictate, surface casing is permitted but must be protected with a secure cover or cap when left unattended, and decommissioned within 10 days of drilling completion.
