395 Neb. Admin. Code, ch. 4, § 001 - CONTACT WITH CHILD VICTIM AND PARENTAL NOTIFICATION
When a child is a possible witness to or an alleged victim of abuse or neglect, the Department has the authority to contact the child to conduct an interview necessary for an assessment. This may be done without the consent or knowledge of the parent. A child may be contacted at school, child care, or other locations away from the home.
