Nev. Admin. Code § 353B.Sec. 12 - NEW

1. The parent or guardian of a pupil who wishes to voluntarily close an account created pursuant to section 9 must complete and submit to the Office of the State Treasurer the opt-out form prescribed by the Office of the State Treasurer.

2. The Office of the State Treasurer shall close an account created pursuant to section 9:

(a) Upon receipt of an opt-out form submitted pursuant to subsection 1.

(b) If any portion of the money credited to the account has not been distributed by August 1 of the year that is 6 years after the year in which the designated beneficiary was regularly scheduled to graduate from high school.
