Nev. Admin. Code § 388.103 - "Scientific, research-based intervention" defined
"Scientific, research-based intervention" means the modification of the classroom environment, curriculum or delivery of instruction in a regular educational environment, which is:
1. Based upon an examination of the
characteristics of the pupil as a learner, the instruction being provided and
the curricular tasks to be accomplished and which is targeted toward improving
the level of performance and rate of learning of the pupil; and
2. Demonstrated through research and practice
to have a positive impact on the academic achievement or behavior of the
pupil.
