Nev. Admin. Code § 439B.Sec. 19 - NEW
1. Each data submitter shall de-identify the
historical data which it submits, including, without limitation, direct patient
identifiers, by using a hashing algorithm prescribed and provided by the
administrator. The administrator shall prescribe and provide to each data
submitter a hashing algorithm which is recommended by the Federal
Government.
2. A data submitter
may, but is not required to, encrypt using Pretty Good Privacy encryption the
historical data which the data submitter submits.
