Nev. Admin. Code § 449.3622 - Appropriate care of patients
1. Each patient
must receive, and the hospital shall provide or arrange for, individualized
care, treatment and rehabilitation based on the assessment of the patient that
is appropriate to the needs of the patient and the severity of the disease,
condition, impairment or disability from which the patient is
suffering.
2. The governing body
shall ensure that each person's role in providing care to a patient is
determined by:
(a) The professional skills,
competence and credentials of the person providing care;
(b) The care or rehabilitation to be provided
to the patient;
(c) The policies of
the hospital; and
(d) The relevant
required licensure or certification, regulation, privileges, scope of practice
and job description of the person.
