Nev. Admin. Code § 467.Sec. 4 - NEW
1.
Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, it is presumed that the
provisions of chapter 467 of NRS do not apply to an amateur contest or
exhibition of unarmed combat or any combination thereof conducted by or
participated in exclusively by any school, college or university or by any
association or organization of a school, college or university, and the person
responsible for the amateur contest or exhibition need not submit a request for
exemption pursuant to section 5 if:
(a) The
amateur contest or exhibition is wholly organized and hosted by a body that
sanctions and regulates collegiate athletes;
(b) The body described in paragraph (a) is
one of the following bodies or the body is otherwise recognized by the
Commission:
(1) The National Collegiate
Athletic Association;
(2) The
National Collegiate Boxing Association; or
(3) The United States Intercollegiate Boxing
Association;
(c) The
amateur contest or exhibition is officiated by ring officials who are licensed
or sanctioned by the body described in paragraph (a); and
(d) Participation in the amateur contest or
exhibition is wholly limited to students who are currently enrolled at a
school, college or university.
2. If information disqualifying an amateur
contest or exhibition from the presumption set forth in subsection 1 is
submitted to or otherwise obtained by the Commission:
(a) The Commission will notify the person
responsible for the amateur contest or exhibition that the provisions of
chapter 467 of NRS are presumed to apply to the amateur contest or exhibition;
and
(b) The person responsible for
the amateur contest or exhibition must submit to the Commission the request for
exemption described in section 5 of this regulation.
