Nev. Admin. Code § 490.560 - Action by Department on reports of stolen, embezzled and recovered off-highway vehicles

Whenever the owner of any off-highway vehicle which is stolen or embezzled files with the Department an affidavit alleging the theft or embezzlement of the off-highway vehicle, the Department will immediately suspend the registration of and refuse to reregister the off-highway vehicle until such time as the Department is notified that the owner has recovered the off-highway vehicle. Any notice given pursuant to this section is effective only during the current registration year in which given. If, during the current registration year, the off-highway vehicle is not recovered, a new affidavit may be filed with like effect during the ensuing year. Each owner who files an affidavit of theft or embezzlement shall immediately notify the Department of the recovery of the off-highway vehicle.
