Nev. Admin. Code § 490.610 - Prohibited removal, defacement, alteration or obliteration of identification number or mark of off-highway vehicle; restoration of number
1. A person shall not intentionally remove,
deface, alter or obliterate the identification number of an off-highway vehicle
without written authorization from the Department or attach to or place or
stamp upon an off-highway vehicle any serial, motor or other number or mark
other than the identification number of the off-highway vehicle.
2. This section does not prohibit the owner
of an off-highway vehicle from restoring the identification number of the
off-highway vehicle when the restoration is authorized by the Department, or
prevent any manufacturer from placing in the ordinary course of business
numbers or marks upon a new off-highway vehicle or new parts thereof.
