N.H. Admin. Code § Lab 1403.27 - Hand Tools
The employer shall ensure compliance with the following requirements:
(a) Each employer shall
be responsible for the safe condition of tools and equipment used by employees,
including tools and equipment furnished by employees;
(b) All hand tools shall be kept in safe
condition. Handles of tools shall be kept tight in the tool, and wooden handles
shall be free of splinters or cracks. Wedges, chisels, and similar tools shall
be free of mushroomed heads. Wrenches shall not be used when sprung to the
point that slippage occurs; and
(c)
Electric power operated tools shall either be double-insulated, grounded, or
used with ground fault circuit interrupters.
