N.H. Admin. Code § Pos 705.01 - Determination of Workforce Shortage Area

(a) The commission shall determine the workforce shortage area(s).

(b) The determination shall be informed by the following:

(1) Information supplied by New Hampshire institutions on the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Completion Survey;

(2) Information available from the New Hampshire department of employment security on projected job openings of labor classifications requiring associate degrees or higher; and

(3) Lists of shortage areas as determined by New Hampshire state agencies.

(c) The determination of the shortage area(s) shall be made from those workforce areas with the highest ratio of projected openings to prior year completions and on the potential positive impact on the New Hampshire economy, health and welfare.
