CHAPTER HISTORICAL NOTE:
Chapter 23, Third Party Administrators, was adopted as R.2005 d.113, effective 4/4/2005. See: 36 N.J.R. 1297(a), 37 N.J.R. 1077(a).
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 1(2010), the chapter expiration date was extended from April 4, 2010 until the completion of the review of administrative regulations and rules by the Red Tape Review Group, and until such time as the extended regulation or rule was readopted pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14B-1 et seq.
Chapter 23, Third Party Administrators, was readopted as R.2014 d.121, effective 6/26/2014. See: 45 N.J.R. 1893(a), 46 N.J.R. 1695(b).
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14B-5.1, Chapter 23, Third Party Administrators, was scheduled to expire on 6/26/2021. Pursuant to Executive Order Nos. 127 (2020) and 244 (2021) and P.L. 2021, c. 103, any chapter of the New Jersey Administrative Code that would otherwise have expired during the Public Health Emergency originally declared in Executive Order No. 103 (2020) is extended through January 1, 2022. Chapter 23, Third Party Administrators, was readopted with technical changes, effective 11/23/2021. As a part of the readoption, Chapter 23 was renamed Third-Party Administrators; Subchapter 2, License or Registration Requirements for Third Party Administrators, was renamed License or Registration Requirements for Third-Party Administrators; and Subchapter 5, Third Party Billing Services, was renamed Third-Party Billing Services, effective 12/20/2021.
