N.M. Admin. Code § 20.3.20.6 - OBJECTIVE

To maximize the protection practicable for the citizens of New Mexico from ionizing and nonionizing radiation in the practice of medical imaging and radiation therapy by establishing requirements for appropriate education and training of individuals operating medical equipment emitting ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, establishing standards of education and training for the individuals who perform medical imaging and radiation therapy procedures, and providing for the appropriate examination and licensure of those individuals.
