N.M. Admin. Code § 8.321.8.14 - INTAKE
A. The acceptance
of a client for treatment shall be based on an intake procedure and assessment
of the client.
B. The agency shall
have written policies and procedures governing the intake process including the
following:
(1) the types of information to be
obtained on all applicants prior to admission;
(2) the procedures to be followed when
accepting referrals from outside agencies;
(3) the procedures to be followed for
referrals when an applicant is found ineligible for admission. The reason for
nonadmission shall be documented.
