N.M. Admin. Code § 8.370.15.52 - EXITS
A. Each floor of a
boarding home shall have exits as required by as required by New Mexico
building code, international building code (IBC), current edition as adopted by
the New Mexico construction industries division and local building codes, as
applied by the authority having jurisdiction.
B. Each exit must be marked by illuminated
exit signs having letters at least six inches high whose principle strokes are
at least three-quarters of an inch wide.
C. Illuminated exit signs, if required by the
authority having jurisdiction, must be maintained in operable condition at all
times.
D. Exit ways must be kept
free from obstructions at all times.
