N.M. Admin. Code § 8.370.20.6 - OBJECTIVE
The purpose of these regulations is to:
A. establish minimum standards for licensing
facilities providing day care to adults, in order to ensure that participants
receive safe and adequate services and that the health, safety and welfare of
participants and employees are protected;
B. direct such facilities to provide and
organize program of services in the community group setting for the purpose of
supporting adult's personal independence, and promoting their social, physical,
and emotional well-being;
C.
establish standards for the construction, maintenance and operation of such
facilities;
D. monitor facility
compliance with these regulations through surveys to identify any areas which
could be dangerous or harmful to the health, safety, and welfare of the
participants and staff.
