N.M. Admin. Code § 8.371.2.69 - STAFF/CLIENT RATIOS
For each facility regardless of organization or design must have, as a minimum, overall staff/client ratios (allowing for a five day work week plus holiday, vacation and sick time) as shown below:
A. Those facilities serving children under
the age of six years, severely and profoundly retarded, severely physically
handicapped, or client's who are aggressive, assaultive, or security risks, or
who manifest severely hyperactive or psychotic-like behavior, the overall ratio
is one staff member to three point two (3.2) clients.
B. Those facilities serving moderately
retarded clients requiring habit training, the overall ratio is one staff
member to four clients.
C. Those
facilities serving clients in vocational training programs and adults who work
in sheltered employment situation, the overall ratio is one staff member to six
point four (6.4) clients.
