N.Y. Comp. Codes R. & Regs. Tit. 21 § 7000.11 - Confidentiality
(a) All records,
documents or other information identifying an attorney or law firm, client or
third person of an IOLA account shall be confidential and shall not be
disclosed by a banking institution except with the consent of the attorney or
law firm maintaining the account or as required by law, regulation,
administrative requirement or compulsory legal process.
(b) The board of trustees shall maintain all
papers, records, documents or other information identifying an attorney or law
firm, client or third person of an IOLA account on a private and confidential
basis, and shall not disclose such information unless such disclosure is (1)
necessary to accomplish the purposes of section
497 of the
Judiciary Law and section
97-v of the
State Finance Law or (2) made pursuant to compulsory legal
process.
