Ohio Admin. Code 1301-1-01 - Notice of promulgation of rules and regulations
(A) Whenever the
director of the department of commerce proposes to adopt, amend or rescind any
rule or regulation which the director is authorized by law to do, the
department of commerce will hold a public hearing. The hearing will be held at
least thirty days after the proposed rule changes have been filed pursuant to
section 119.03 of the Revised Code and
after reasonable public notice has been given pursuant to this rule.
(B) Public notice shall consist of a
statement of the department's intention to adopt, amend or rescind a rule, a
general statement of the subject matter to which the proposed rule adoption,
amendment, or rescission relates, a statement of the purpose for adopting,
amending, or rescinding the rule, and a statement designating the date, time
and place of the hearing.
(C)
Pursuant to section 119.037 of the Revised Code, at
least thirty days prior to the date of the hearing, public notice shall be
published in the register of Ohio on the internet at
http://www.registerofohio.state.oh.us.
Public notice may also be published on the department's web site, however, such
department web site notice shall not be mandatory, and failure to give such
additional notice shall not invalidate any action that may be taken by the
director.
