Ohio Admin. Code 3335-5-41 - Powers
The university senate, subject to the authority of the board of trustees, shall have the power:
(A)
Under delegation
by the university faculty as defined in rule
3335-5-19.1 of the
Administrative Code
(1)
to establish the educational and academic policies of the university,
(2)
to
recommend the establishment, abolition, and alteration of educational units and
programs of study,
(3)
to recommend to the board of trustees candidates for
honorary degrees,
(4)
to recommend candidates for degrees and certificates
(which power shall be reserved to the faculty and administrative members of the
university senate).
(B)
To consider, to
make recommendations concerning, and (in pursuance of rules pertaining to the
university) to act upon matters relating to the rights, responsibilities, and
concerns of students, faculty, administrators, and staff.
