Ohio Admin. Code 3356-4-10 - University health and safety
(A)
Policy statement.
The university will develop and maintain programs to prevent health and safety
hazards on the campus. Such programs shall be in compliance with, but not
limited to, all local, state, and federal statutes pertaining to health,
safety, and the environment.
(B)
Parameters.
(1)
The office of
environmental and occupational health and safety ("EOHS") has the
responsibility of establishing appropriate environmental, health, and safety
programs and activities.
(2)
EOHS, in consultation with the office of the general
counsel, is also responsible for keeping the university in compliance with
local, state, and federal laws affecting the campus environment and the health
and safety of all students, faculty, staff, and campus
visitors.
(C)
Procedures.
(1)
EOHS will distribute information on all health and
safety programs. Other departments may assist in the distribution of this
information.
(2)
EOHS will periodically conduct seminars and workshops
relating to health, safety, and environmental matters.
(3)
University
employees and students are expected to follow all applicable health, safety,
and environmental programs so that the university can prevent health and safety
hazards on the campus.
