Ohio Admin. Code 3358:5-1-21 - Presidential responsibilities
(A) The president or his/her designee is the
board's only link to operational achievement and conduct, so that all authority
and accountability of staff, as far as the board is concerned, is considered
the authority and accountability of the president.
(B) Consequently, the president's
responsibilities can be stated as performance in the following major areas:
(1) Organizational accomplishments of the
provisions of board policies on ends
strategic planning goals.
(2) Organizational operation within the
boundaries of prudence and ethics established in board policies on executive
limitations, and within state and federal statutory and regulatory
requirements.
(3) Compliance with
the content of the president's job description and contract.
(4) Effective and timely communication with
the board of trustees in a form and manner agreed upon between the president
and the board of trustees.
