Ohio Admin. Code 3361:30-28-05 - Retirement: conversion of unused sick leave (excluding employees represented by a collective bargaining unit)
(A) Any employee of the
university of Cincinnati (excluding employees represented by a collective
bargaining unit), at the time of retirement from active service, who are
members of the "City Retirement System," the public employees retirement system
(PERS), the "Teachers Insuarance Annuity Association
"
"Grandfathered Retirement Plan", the
alternative retirement plan (ARP) or the state teachers retirement system
of Ohio (STRS), meeting the age and service or disability requirements to be
eligible for retirement under (TIAA) Rule 3362:30-
28-01 of the Administrative Code, and with ten or more years of full- or
part-time service with the university, the state or any of its political
subdivisions, may elect to be paid in cash for
the value of the number of converted unused sick days not to
exceed the lesser of thirty days or one-fourth of the employee's
unused accrued sick leave credit the applicable
system, and up to a maximum of thirty days.
The employee's unused sick leave credit shall be reduced by
one day for each day the employee elects to convert pursuant to this
