Ohio Admin. Code 3364-71-22 - Semester academic calendar and academic year
The university of Toledo awards credit hours based upon a two-semester academic calendar consisting at a minimum of thirty weeks. An academic semester consists of fifteen weeks of instruction, which includes one week for final examinations (university of Toledo - American association of university professors collective bargaining agreement "UT-AAUP CBA.")
In accordance with the rule 3333-1-02(B) (18), an academic year is a period of time that is at least thirty weeks in length exclusive of compressed terms (e.g. summer term).
The policy defines the academic calendar and the academic year.
The policy applies to both undergraduate and graduate programs of study at the University.
A change to the duration of the semester academic calendar and/or the terms within an academic year requires approval by the board of trustees.
