Ohio Admin. Code 3701-50-01 - Identification of urban and rural communities having higher infant mortality rates
(A)
For the purposes of this rule, infant mortality is
defined as the death of a live-born baby before his or her first birthday.
Infant mortality rates presented by the Ohio department of health are
calculated using the number of infant deaths in a specific year as the
numerator and the number of live births within that same year as the
denominator.
(B)
Urban and rural communities will be identified and
reported on the Ohio department of health scorecard as described in section
3701.953 of the Revised Code
--"Infant Mortality Scorecard."
