Ohio Admin. Code 3701-55-09 - Religious exception
(A) The provisions of this chapter requiring
screening of newborn children do not apply if the parents of the child object
thereto on the grounds that such screening conflicts with their religious
tenets and practices.
(B) Refusal
to consent to the newborn screening must be documented on forms provided by the
Ohio department of health or must meet the minimum warning requirements set
forth on the Ohio department of health forms. A copy of the refusal form or
other documentation of parental refusal shall

the Ohio department of health.
