Ohio Admin. Code 3745-7-11 - [Effective until 7/3/2025] Duties of the council
The council may do the following:
(A) Recommend to the director minimum
professional operator requirements consistent with the classification systems
for public water systems, treatment works and sewerage systems in rules
3745-7-03 and
3745-7-04 of the Administrative
Code.
(B) Review applications for
examination and certification and advise the director as to which applicants
meet the prerequisites for admission to the examination for which application
is made.
(C) Review applications
for reciprocity and make recommendations to the director concerning the
equivalency of non-Ohio EPA
third-party
examination provider's exams and the classifications of certification for
which applicants qualify.
(D)
Assist in the development of examinations used to measure an applicant's
competence for certification.
(E)
Recommend to the director the issuance, suspension, revocation, or
reinstatement of certifications.
(F) Advise the director on issues pertaining
to the administration of the professional operator certification program,
including developing guidance, policy, and procedures to implement the program
on a day-to-day basis.
(G) Advise
the director on matters pertaining to contact hours.
(H) Nothing in this rule shall be interpreted
to require a recommendation from the council on any action of the director
issued pursuant to this chapter.
