Or. Admin. Code § 213-040-0040 - Advisory Committee
(1) The
Commission shall convene an advisory committee to evaluate and approve
restorative justice grant awards. The grant award approval and authorization
process is set forth in OAR 213-040-0070.
(2) The Commission may seek the advisory
committee's input on other matters relating to the restorative justice grant
program.
(3) The advisory committee
shall consist of the following members:
(a) At
least one individual who is a member of a Tribe;
(b) At least one individual who is a
restorative justice practitioner;
(c) At least one individual who is a member
of a community-based organization that promotes and supports the implementation
of restorative justice principles and models;
(d) At least one individual who is actively
engaged with the victim/survivor community in a non-government affiliated
role;
(e) At least one individual
who was previously incarcerated;
(f) At least one individual with expertise in
trauma-informed practices;
(g) At
least one member of the public with an interest in the implementation and
practice of restorative justice principles and models;
(h) A representative from the Governor's
Racial Justice Council or the Governor's Racial Justice Council's identified
designee;
(i) A representative from
the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association; and
(j) A representative from the Oregon District
Attorneys Association.
(4) A majority of the members of the advisory
committee constitutes a quorum for the transaction of business.
(5) Without preferring any particular
demographic group, the Commission shall consider such factors, including but
not limited to gender, geographic, ethnic, and racial diversity of the advisory
committee members when convening the advisory committee.
