(1)
Weights and Classes:
(a) Flyweight -- 112
pounds or under;
(b) Bantamweight
-- over 112 to 118 pounds;
(c)
Featherweight -- over 118 to 126 pounds;
(d) Lightweight -- over 126 to 135
pounds;
(e) Welterweight -- over
135 to 147 pounds;
(f) Middleweight
-- over 147 to 160 pounds;
(g)
Light-Heavy weight -- over 160 to 175 pounds;
(h) Cruiseweight -- over 175 to 195
pounds;
(i) Heavyweight -- all over
195 pounds.
(2) No
contest shall be scheduled, and no contestants shall engage in a boxing contest
where the weight difference exceeds the allowance as shown in the following
schedule, without the written approval of the Director. In the event
contestants are in different weight classes, the weight difference allowance
shall be that of the lower class:
(a) 112 lbs.
and under -- not more than 3 pounds;
(b) 112 lbs. to 118 lbs -- not more than 4
pounds;
(c) 119 lbs. to 126 lbs --
not more than 5 pounds;
(d) 127
lbs. to 135 lbs -- not more than 6 pounds;
(e) 136 lbs. to 147 lbs. -- not more than 8
pounds;
(f) 148 lbs. to 160 lbs --
not more than 10 pounds;
(g) 161
lbs. to 175 lbs -- not more than 12 pounds;
(h) 175 lbs. to 195 lbs -- not more than 15
pounds;
(i) 195 lbs. and over no
limits.
