Or. Admin. Code § 335-070-0040 - Procedures for Special Board Approval of Professional Development
(1) Special
approval of professional development as required in OAR 335-070-0020 may be
requested from the Board by an institution, organization, agency or individual
licensee as follows:
(a) Timely requests may
be submitted before or after the professional development activity takes place.
A request made later than 30 days after a professional development activity and
within 60 days prior to the renewal deadline is completed is considered to be
late, and will not be considered.
(b) All requests must be submitted on a form
provided by the Board.
(2) An activity will qualify for approval if
the request was timely and the Board determines that the activity:
(a) Is an organized program of learning or
other accepted activity;
(b)
Focuses on a topic that directly relates to the practice of speech-language
pathology and/or audiology;
(c)
Contributes to the professional competency of the licensee; and
(d) Is conducted by individuals who have
education, training or experience acceptable to the Board.
