Or. Admin. Code § 413-203-0095 - [Effective until 8/15/2025] Requirements Regarding Extracurricular, Enrichment, Cultural, and Social Activities
(1) In regard to
the child in the care or custody of the Department placed in the home, the
certified relative resource parent must:
(a)
Support the child in their interests to participate in age-appropriate or
developmentally appropriate activities, including extracurricular, enrichment,
cultural, and social activities.
(b) Ensure the child has ongoing
opportunities to participate in at least one age-appropriate or developmentally
appropriate activity.
(c) Apply the
reasonable and prudent parent standard, as well consulting with the child's
caseworker when determining whether to allow the child placed in the home by
the Department to participate in extracurricular, enrichment, cultural, and
social activities.
(d) Periodically
update the Department regarding participation by the child in extracurricular,
enrichment, cultural, and social activities, including any barriers that may
keep the child from participation in such activities.
(2) When applying the reasonable and prudent
parent standard, the certified relative resource parent must consider the age,
maturity, and developmental level and best interest of a Child
Department placed in the home; and the potential harm, if any, of the
activity.
