Or. Admin. Code § 416-170-0000 - Purpose and Scope
(1) The
purpose of these rules is to establish a uniform process for review and
approval or denial of research project proposals to be conducted within the
Oregon Youth Authority (OYA).
(2)
These rules apply to all youth in OYA physical or legal custody, including
those placed under supervision within the community in contracted residential
care programs or youth in custody foster homes, and youth in OYA close-custody
facilities.
(3) Research projects
may be conducted by OYA staff, professional researchers, or by students and
others with an interest in juvenile corrections services.
