Or. Admin. Code § 416-490-0025 - Room-lock Other
(1) The purpose
of a Room-lock Other Intervention is to place a YIC alone in a room with a
locked door for a sleep program, medical separation, or the YIC has requested
Time-out in a closed or locked room.
(2) A YIC may only participate in a sleep
program during normal sleeping hours. A YIC may participate in a sleep program
for reasons other than crisis behavior.
(3) Only Health Services staff may direct
physical separation of a YIC from the YIC's peers for physical health reasons,
and only when no other option is available. Staff must allow the YIC as much
social interaction and out-of-room time as medically possible.
(5) Staff must monitor the YIC every 15
minutes and document observations in writing.
