Or. Admin. Code § 437-001-0035 - Occupational Safety and Health Rules
(1) The Division shall propose occupational
safety and health rules for adoption by the Administrator under the authority
delegated by the Director . Proposed rules shall be:
(a) Reasonable;
(b) Mandatory;
(c) Designed to protect the life, safety and
health of employees; and
(d) At
least as effective as occupational safety and health rules adopted by the U.S.
Department of Labor.
(2)
In proposing rules for adoption, the Division may consider recommendations from
national standards-setting organizations, the U.S. Department of Labor,
National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Centers for
Disease Control (CDC), employers, employees, employee representatives, and the
Division 's occupational safety and health experience.
