Or. Admin. Code § 632-010-0154 - Determining and Naming Fields and Pools
(1) Field names and boundaries are determined
by the board after establishment of evidence acceptable to the board that
geologic, geographic, or other conditions warrant the assignment of a new field
designation.
(2) Wells are
classified by the pool from which they produce, and pools are named by the
department.
(3) A permittee making
new field or pool discoveries may recommend names to the department.
(4) Any person dissatisfied with a new field
designation or a well or pool classification or determination may request in
writing a reconsideration by the board.
