Or. Admin. Code § 635-005-0495 - Size and Sex
(1) It is unlawful
to take, land or possess for commercial purposes:
(a) Female Dungeness crab; or
(b) Male Dungeness crab less than 6-1/4
inches measured the shortest distance through the body of the crab from edge of
shell to edge of shell from directly in front of the tenth anterolateral
spine.
(2) Any undersized
or female Dungeness crab taken from the Pacific Ocean must be released within
15 minutes of capture unharmed into the Pacific Ocean at the point of
capture.
(3) It is unlawful to
possess or transport Dungeness crab that have been mutilated prior to landing
so that the size or sex cannot be determined.
