Or. Admin. Code § 635-009-0100 - Salmon and Trout Enhancement Program Policy and Goals

(1) It is the policy of the Fish and Wildlife Commission, in carrying out the provisions of ORS 496.430, et seq., that the STEP shall be conducted to benefit all users of the salmon and trout resources of this state.

(2) STEP goals are:

(a) Provide the greatest possible opportunity for citizen volunteer participation in achieving the Department's management objectives;

(b) Rehabilitate and enhance natural habitat of salmon and trout;

(c) Rehabilitate and enhance populations of salmon and trout; and

(d) Support and promote an education program to increase the public's understanding of Oregon's aquatic resources and the environment.
