Strategies to develop and implement the Oregon Migratory Game Bird Management Plan and Program include but are not limited to the following actions:
(1) Integrate state, federal,
and local programs to coordinate biological surveys, research, and habitat
development to obtain improved population information and to secure habitats
for the benefit of migratory game birds and other associated wildlife species.
(2) Develop and implement the
Migratory Game Bird Management Plan and Program through training and
information exchange between Department personnel and public and private
cooperators.
(3) Provide
recreational, aesthetic, educational, and cultural benefits derived from
migratory game birds, other associated wildlife species, and their habitats.
(4) Seek sufficient funds to
accomplish programs consistent with the strategies outlined in this plan, and
allocate those funds to programs based on management priorities.
