Or. Admin. Code § 734-076-0175 - Approved Routes
(1) When
removing a load or vehicles from an emergency:
(a) While removing a vehicle from the initial
emergency, tow vehicles or load recovery vehicles may operate on all state
highways as directed by an enforcement officer or the road authority.
(b) When not otherwise directed by an
enforcement officer or the road authority, tow vehicles may operate over any
route approved for the disabled vehicle(s) prior to the incident;
(c) When not otherwise directed by an
enforcement officer or the road authority, load recovery vehicles may operate
over approved routes and at the lengths authorized on Group Map 1 or Route Map
7 or those routes shown on the continuous trip permit or single-trip permit
issued to the disabled vehicle. Vehicle(s) may not exceed weight restrictions
shown on Route Map 8 and Attachment 100A.
(d) Group Map 1, revised April 2021, Route

100A, revised November 2023 are by reference made part of Division 76 rules,
and are available from the Commerce and Compliance Division, Over-Dimension
Permit Unit.
(2) The
Chief Engineer may add additional highway routes to those approved for
operation or delete from the approved routes any highway or section of highway
when continued operation of the units is not in the public's best
interest.
(3) This rule does not
authorize operation over highways, streets, or roads not under the jurisdiction
of the Department of Transportation. For such operations, separate permission
must be obtained from the appropriate authority.
