Or. Admin. Code § 855-080-0015 - Definitions
As used in these rules:
(1) "Act " means the Uniform Controlled
Substances Act , ORS Chapter 475, and rules thereunder;
(2) "CFR" means Code of Federal
Regulations;
(3) "USC" means United
States Code;
(4) "Emergency
Situations " means those situations in which the prescribing practitioner who
authorizes an oral prescription of a controlled substance listed in schedule II
of the Federal Controlled Substances Act determines that:
(a) Immediate administration of the
controlled substance is necessary, for proper treatment of the intended
ultimate user; and
(b) No
appropriate alternative treatment is available, including administration of a
drug which is not a controlled substance under schedule II of the Act ,
and
(c) It is not reasonably
possible for the prescribing practitioner to provide a written prescription to
be presented to the person dispensing the substanceprior to the
dispensing.
(5) Terms
not defined in this rule have the definitions set forth in ORS
475.005.
