Or. Admin. Code § 859-050-0090 - Patient/Outpatient Appearing Pro Se
(1) When
a patient/outpatient waives the right to be represented by an attorney, the
Board will take written or oral testimony and decide whether the
patient/outpatient is capable of understanding the proceedings.
(2) After considering evidence about the
competency of a patient/outpatient to represent his or her own interests at the
hearing, the Board will rule on whether the patient/outpatient will be allowed
to represent himself/herself pro se or whether the Board will appoint counsel
to represent the patient/outpatient over his or her objection.
