(1) The Oregon Structural Specialty Code is
amended pursuant to OAR chapter 918, division 8. Amendments adopted during the
code cycle for inclusion into the Oregon Structural Specialty Code are placed
in this rule, showing the section reference, a descriptive caption, and a short
description of the amendment.
(2)
Effective October 1, 2023, Chapter 16 Section 1609.3 of the Oregon Structural
Specialty Code is amended according to the following:
(a) Amend Table 1609.3 to specify updated
basic design wind speeds for special wind regions.
(b) Amend Figure 1609.3 to align with the
amended table values, and to further provide an illustrative representation of
the special wind regions.
